A pair of bomb threats shut down part of Maricopa County’s main courthouse this morning, about five weeks after a string of similar threats disrupted the local justice system over several days.
Two separate threats were made to one of the court’s main towers, known as the East Court Building, sometime after it opened this morning, according to the court’s highest ranking judge, Barbara Rodriguez Mundell.
Sheriff’s and security officials evacuated the building, and investigators swept through it with bomb-sniffing dogs, Mundell said in a written statement.
No bombs were found, Mundell said, and the courts were reopened again by noon.
Similar threats were made to the county’s main courthouse and nearby buildings back in early December, a time when the justice system had already been thrown into chaos with battles between the sheriff’s office, local prosecutors and judges.

I wonder if MCSO looks at files in judges' offices while they have the building all to themselves looking for “bombs.”
