Tucson Weekly editor Jimmy Boegle has some harsh words for the nation’s largest media chain. “Gannett sucks,” he wrote in an article posted today on his newspaper’s website. Boegle is particularly upset at the way the company, which owns several Arizona news outlets, has handled the possible closure of the state’s oldest newspaper, the Tucson Citizen. “The crap that Gannett Co. has pulled over at the Tucson Citizen is unethical and immoral — and it should be illegal,” he writes.
